Raising the standard is a process which includes the synonyms: improve, rehabilitation, refurbish, spruce up, renovate, rejuvenate, upgrade, and, bring up to code, There are other words but to bring up to code rang a bell with me.
Naturally with the assignment the Lord has place in my heart concerning the life of the child in the womb. God’s Word is the standard and code we must raise to.
So when I heard a chant in a recent political campaign “Black Lives matter” it got my interest.
Yes, I believe Black lives mater but all lives matter. However I thought we say thing that we don’t always live. After reviewing the statistics which indicated that since 1973, 30 % of the African American population was erased. Not by gun violence, heart attacks, diabetes, or any other health problem but by abortion.
Now that broke my heart. Because if black lives matter then something doesn’t add up. There is a dichotomy, a conflict here in actions and words.
Now, I don’t see this as a political issue it’s a life issue and, I’m all for choice. I love choosing my church, clothes, vacations, and friend’s food. I don’t see anywhere however, I’ve been given the right to choose to take another person’s life.
So let’s talk about this!
After looking at the research I believe perhaps some people have believed a lie. Like the myth that ostriches bury their heads in the sand in times of fear. You may have heard people say get your head out of the sand and face you problem. Well, ostriches put their head in the sand to get rocks and pebbles to grin up their food in their stomach. So that is a myth. Or have you heard the saying you’re as blind as a bat. Wrong again bats have eyes and function very well in the dark.
So what lies have people believed about the child in the womb? Perhaps the first is : It’s just tissue., not a baby. I’ve heard that said. Well, biology and science refute that lie also.
The child in the womb is a human being from conception. When the male sperm fertilizes the woman’s egg a new distinct human being with a separate DNA and genetic makeup begins. It is not an organ, tissue or cell in the woman’s body. It is a separate human being.
It fulfills the four stages of biological life: metabolism, growth, reaction to stimuli, reproduction, In 22 days there is a heartbeat and in 57 days there are brain waves.
In 1973 the Supreme Court case of Roe vs Wade and the companion case of Doe vs Bolton legalized abortion in all 9 months of a human being in the womb.
Remember slavery was a law for 200 years in the United States. However, Dr. Martin Luther King said an unjust law is no law at all.
Let’s talk about this. Do black lives really matter? I thinks so because all lives matter. They we made in the likeness and image of Almighty God.
There is no condemnation only a heart of love. Let’s raise this standard together.
Stand with us and pray for women and families to make a decision for life, for the courts system to shift to a paradigm of life.
